ETLEY
LATE ARCHAIC 3,000 BP - LATE WOODLAND 1500 BP

This is an artistic representation of a point named for the Oettle from Calhoon County, Illinois. Later anglicized to the name Etley. A large base to the corner notched blade characterizes this point. There are short and elongated variations. It is believed that the Wadlow point is the pre-form for this point. Distribution ranges from Missouri, Illinois, and Missouri River Valley tributaries.
