EARLY TO LATE WOODLAND 2200 BP TO 1600 BP

This is an artistic representation of a Classic Ohio Hopewell. Named after the Hopewell family farm in Ross County, Ohio where the first identified example was found. The Native Americans that developed this point were known for large mound building. The points have been distributed east of the Missouri River and in the Midwest. It has a broad, leaf shaped point with deep large diagonal corner notches.
