This is an artistic representation of a Folsom, a fluted Lanceolate that is small in size. It is named for a Bison kill site near Folsom, New Mexico. A Folsom has actually been found embedded in the rib bone of an extinct large buffalo (Figgins). The Folsom is important in that it provided definite proof that man was in the New World thousands of years before what was previously thought. The Folsom is the most sought after point in the real world of early man artifacts.
