EGYPTIAN FISH TAIL KNIFE 4400 BP TO 3700 BP
This is an artistic representation of a Kef or Egyptian Fish Tail Knife "Peshish Kef". A hafted specimen found in tombs, shows the point to be embedded into the handle and the concave portion facing out. This point was believed to be used in funeral and religious rites. It may have been used to open the deceased mouth, perhaps to release the spirit. This point represents flint napping at its highest level of development. Specimens have been found only in Egypt.
