SEDALIA
LATE ARCHAIC 4500 BP TO 3500 BP

This is an artistic representation of a Sedalia. Named for the town of Sedalia in Pettis County, Missouri where the first identified example was found. It is a large, thick, lanceolate style point. Examples have been found in the Missouri and Mississippi River Valleys and parts of the Illinois River Valley. Some experts believe the Nebo Hill point is a Variant of the Sedalia.
